Nashville Mayor Megan Barry’s smart cities working group, Connected Nashville, unveiled its plan and opened a three-week public comment period on Oct. 12.

Prof. Abhishek Dubey co-chaired the technical committee of connected Nashville. His committee’s recommendations form the technical foundation for connected Nashville, whose goal is to use technology, digital communication and big data to provide insights and recommendations for city services such as public transit, parking and emergency response. Abhishek and his team has been working together for approximately three years over a number of projects, including transit hub.
