Dan Work has been invited to present at the conference for the International Council of Academies of Engineering and Technological Sciences (CAETS) held at the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences (IVA) on the 25th-28th of June 2019 in Stockholm.

The name of the conference is ’Engineering a better world– the next 100 years’ and four thematic areas have been chosen:

• Creative Chaos
• Digital Dawn
• Effective Education
• Inclusive Infrastructure

Dan Work is an associate professor of Civil & Environmental Engineering and Institute for Software Integrated Systems at Vanderbilt University. His research on transportation systems has appeared in numerous media outlets including Good Morning America, Wired, and MIT Technology Review. Prof. Work was named a recipient of the 2018 Gilbreth Lectureship by the US National Academy of Engineering.
