Introduction: MIC for Materials Science

The prototype modeling environment illustrated below will enable users to design new nanomaterials from the provided building blocks and composition rules, adjust their attributes, specify the kind of simulation, property analyses and visualization they desire, pick from the available target hardware platforms - the tool environment then will automatically assemble the necessary simulation and other software components, execute them on the appropriate available platform(s), store the results in the database and display them on the front-end.
