Research interests

Nishanth Shankaran is currently a PhD candidate in computer science at the
Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) at
Vanderbilt University. He is a graduate student researcher at the Institute
for Software Integrated Systems (ISIS). He received his bachelors and
masters degree in computer science from University of Madras, India in 2002
and University of California, Irvine in 2004, respectively. His research
interests include middleware for distributed, real-time, and embedded
systems, adaptive resource management, and adaptive QoS control.

His research interests include infrastructure middleware, which provides
end-to-end Quality of Service guarantees for distributed, real-time, and
embedded systems and middleware for adaptive resource management. While
working at University of California Irvine, he was involved with the
development of ZEN, a Real-Time CORBA implementation using real-time Java.
