Best Paper Award at IEEE/ACM Symposium DS-RT 2010

ISIS Staff Engineer, Himanshu Neema, et. al. won the best paper award for their paper "SOAMANET: A Tool for Evaluating Service-Oriented Architectures on Mobile Ad-hoc Networks" at the 14th IEEE/ACM Symposium on Distributed Simulation and Real Time Applications, held in Fairfax, Virginia from October 17-20, 2010.
 

EECS Ph.D. Student Wins Best Paper Award at IEEE AUTOTESTCON

EECS Ph.D. student Chetan S Kulkarni won the best student paper award at IEEE AUTOTESTCON 2010. He was also the recipient of the IEEE Instrumentation and Measurement Society travel grant award.  The conference, hosted by the Institute of Electrical & Electronic Engineers (IEEE), was held in Orlando, Florida from September 13-16, 2010.
 

Professor Hermann Kopetz to visit ISIS for Seminar Course

Professor Hermann Kopetz from the Technical University of Vienna, will be at ISIS the week of October 18-22 and offers a seminar course as a trial run of his new book on Real Time Systems Design.

 

Csaba Szepesvari Visits from the University of Alberta

Csaba Szepesvari will be visiting ISIS October 11-13, 2010.  While here, he will doing a presentation called "How to choose cakes (if you must?)--Advice from statistics.

 

Congratulations to Professor Janos Sztipanovits, newly elected member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences

Janos Sztipanovits, E. Bronson Ingram Distinguished Professor of Engineering, has been elected an External Member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, Engineering Sciences Section.  Eminent Hungarian scholars with outstanding achievements in their fields who live in foreign countries, may be elected to the HAS by their colleagues who are full or corresponding members of the Academy.
